This growing and diversifying Mining Services business require the urgent assistance of a highly experienced Payroll Officer to take ownership of the payroll function for three entities, with approximately one hundred and fifty employees. You will be joining a high performing finance team who love what they do, work hard and enjoy a laugh at work! In this role you will have the opportunity to improve processes and procedures to make the role your own.The Role
Reporting to the Finance Manager, the responsibilities of the role will include,
- Responsibility for end to end payroll processing (approx. 150 employees)
- Processing payroll for three companies (a fortnightly, weekly and monthly)
- Calculations of leave and entitlements
- Award and EA interpretation
- Dealing with payroll queries and providing high level customer service
- Preparation of Payroll Tax, BAS, and FBT returns
- Process improvement and streamlining for efficiencies
The successful applicant will have/be,
- Highly experienced in end to end payroll
- A strong understanding of payroll legislation
- Ability to interpret Awards and EA's
- A high attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
- Strong payroll systems experience
- Commence at short notice
