About The Role
We are a successful and growing Building Supplier seeking a dedicated and experienced Accounts Administrator to join the finance team and play a crucial role in managing the (end to end) function primarily in Accounts Receivable with some support within Accounts Payable.
This role is best suited for an individual who prefers to work in AR/AP long term with a work split of 80% Accounts Receivable and 20% Accounts Payable.
Key Accountabilities/Position Description
You will be reporting to the Finance Manager, to be successful in this role you should possess the following qualifications and skills:
- Previous experience in full time (end to end) Accounts Receivable role with some knowledge of Accounts Payable
- Maintain debtor accounts within approved credit terms and conditions
- Reconciliation of accounts
- Process accurate and timely cash receipts and credit card payments, journals and debit/credit adjustments
- Handling/responding and successfully resolving customer account queries
- Evaluate customer's ability to pay
- Follow up overdue accounts
- Assist in legal escalations if required
- Processing new applications and setting up new customers
- Credit checks and knowledge of PPSR registrations
- Maintaining and raising Credit notes and Returns for credit to our Suppliers
- Match Supplier delivery dockets to invoices
- Enter and process AP invoices
- Assistance with month end reporting
- Ad hoc tasks as required
The Ideal Candidate
To be eligible for this role you will need:
- Intermediate computer literacy in MS Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)
- Knowledge of Frameworks desirable
- A minimum of 5 years (end to end) Accounts Receivable experience with some exposure to Accounts Payable desirable
- An ability to work autonomously
- Good interpersonal skills and a team-oriented approach, where you actively support your colleagues and our internal departments is essential for success
- Accuracy, Analytical, Attention to detail and solutions focused attitude
- Demonstrated problem solving and strong planning and time management capabilities, adaptable and flexible
