The Bone Clinic
The Bone Clinic is an innovative health service in Coorparoo, dedicated to helping people with osteopenia and osteoporosis to improve their bone mass and avoid fracture. The practice is unique in that it offers clients an evidence-based bone-targeted exercise program along with specialised dietitian services and osteoporosis education. It is a collaborating research clinic with Griffith University.
The Role
We are seeking an Accredited Exercise Physiologist who is highly motivated, personable and interested in musculoskeletal health and exercise. The position will work as a member of a multidisciplinary team to deliver fully integrated care to clients of The Bone Clinic. The role will include delivering Onero, the evidence-based exercise program, with the potential to undertake client assessments, develop specialist exercise programs, and become licensed to perform bone densitometry.
The Practice
The practice is well-equipped with computer hard and software, including a DXA scanner for bone and body composition evaluations. On staff are DXA technicians, Research Assistants, Accredited Exercise Physiologists,
Dietitians, Reception staff, IT support and a Clinic Manager.
Work Hours
The Bone Clinic is open Monday to Saturday. We are looking for someone to work part-time, approx. 25-30 hours per week (including some Saturdays) but will consider full-time for the right applicant.
Selection Criteria
AEP – eligible for Medicare Provider Number
Understanding of and dedication to evidence-based practice
Ability to work effectively in a team
Client-friendly personality
Ability to work flexible hours
Desirable
Experience working as an Exercise Physiologist.
