About the opportunity:
Uniting is seeking a dynamic and experienced Regional Program Manager to lead our Sustaining Families programs in the ACT. This senior leadership role will provide strategic and operational management for the Sustaining Families suite of programs, including Intensive Family Preservation, Family Preservation, and Newpin. You will ensure high-quality program delivery, meet funding requirements, and foster a positive team environment that aligns with Uniting’s values.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Management: Lead and manage program operations to meet funding, ethical, and community standards. Provide strategic leadership, planning, and operational management for staff.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Develop and maintain relationships with Territory Community Services Directorate, other government bodies, NGOs, and community stakeholders.
- Financial Management: Develop and manage the annual budget, ensuring all activities are performed within the allocated budget.
- Operational Excellence: Ensure effective operational processes and systems are in place to deliver high-quality program results. Implement Uniting policies and innovative approaches to program delivery.
- People Management: Build and lead a cohesive and productive team, provide supervision and training, and foster a culture of openness, feedback, and productivity.
- Client Management: Ensure clients are treated with respect and staff are equipped to provide safe and supportive services. Engage with external parties to enhance Uniting’s reputation and growth.
About You:
- Qualifications: Tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
- Experience: At least 5 years of relevant sector experience with a minimum of 3 years in a management/supervisory role.
- Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead, manage people, and develop effective work teams. Proven financial management skills and the ability to obtain funding. Excellent written, verbal communication, and conflict resolution skills.
- Knowledge: Sound knowledge of the needs of children, young people, and families experiencing disadvantage, as well as the needs of migrants, refugees, CALD, and Aboriginal communities.
- Attributes: Personal integrity, high energy, enthusiasm, exceptional team player, and a passion for social change.
- Current driver’s license and current WWVP check.
