Acting Site Manager | 12 months maternity leave cover

3rd June 2024 - 2nd of June 2025

As our Acting Site Manager you will oversee the daily operations of a vibrant Day Program, 5 PPT staff and 12 adult clients with a disability to ensure they achieve their goals, remain connected to the community and their hobbies and interests and continue on the wonderful culture!

We are looking for someone with proven experience managing a team of support workers with a natural ability to build quick and trusting relationships with staff, family members, clients, and stakeholders.

Your role:

• Work alongside our long standing team and participants & their supports to understand the need for consistency & connection whilst maintaining appropriate professional boundaries.
• Understand the importance of person-centered active support.
• Adaptable in your approach to keep everyone safe and supported.
• Build quick and trusting relationships with clients and their stakeholders in the absence of our SM
• Help develop plans with participants and family members to ensure they have a voice in how they want to live their life.
• Ability to motivate a team through challenges and lead by example while holding our values!

To be successful in this role we ideally would like you to have:

• Qualification in the Social Services or relevant domain e.g. social work, psychology, disability, mental health, etc. or relevant industry experience (minimum Cert 4 equivalent).
• Be available 8-5pm Monday - Friday
• Knowledge of relevant disability legislation, standards e.g. NDIS Quality and Safeguarding Framework, the National Standards for Disability Services.
• Experience and understanding or NDIS practice standards specifically around Behaviour Support and continuous improvement plans.
• Understand & able to implement Risk Management strategies and procedures to minimise all areas of identified risk.
• First Aid / CPR Certification.
