About your new role
Join our dynamic Active & Healthy Team and take charge of coordinating and executing the City's Active & Healthy Holiday Program. This role will see you responsible for the program’s planning, delivery, administration, growth and evaluation and will help us find ways to engage our community in some amazing holiday activities.
You'll also play a pivotal role in shaping the larger Active & Healthy Program, dedicated to encouraging greater activity among Gold Coast residents. This role offers the exciting opportunity to lead the planning, implementation, and assessment of program initiatives, contributing significantly to the community's journey towards connected, healthy, and active lifestyles.
This role will also contribute to the delivery of the City’s Sport and Physical Activity Strategy outcomes.

About you
- As an outgoing, progressive thinker, you will bring new ideas to the team and a positive can-do attitude.
- You will have experience in coordinating and implementing community-based physical activity, programs, services and/or events (programs of a wellbeing and health promotion theme may be highly regarded).
- You will need to demonstrate excellent project management skills and the ability to plan, manage, deliver and evaluate programs.
- You have highly developed interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, including negotiation and mediation skills.
- You have skills and experience in developing, leading, implementing and evaluating behaviour change campaigns or public education programs.
- You have experience developing and managing partnerships with internal and external stakeholder groups.
- You demonstrate a high level of personal initiative and exceptional organisational skills (capacity to work under pressure and ability to prioritise and complete tasks to meet deadlines) to deliver a high quality, customer-focused service.
- You maintain the confidentiality of information and accurately complete work in accordance with policies and procedures.
