Job description

About the role 

This role is part of ALPA's Community Development Program (CDP).
In this role will develop and coordinate meaningful and engaging activities for CDP participants to improve quality of life and facilitate their mutual obligations.  

Your practical skills in sewing, art and crafts, gardening, carpentry, construction etc. paired with your people skills will allow you to work with and further develop the local team members, providing empowerment and upskilling opportunities. 
 
This position is based in a  remote Aboriginal community in Arnhem Land, Northern Territory

  • Administration skills 
  • Experience  building strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders creating positive ongoing partnerships 
  • The ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds and circumstances  
  • Self-starter who thrives on the opportunity to achieve meaningful results 
Desirable 
  • Knowledge of the current CDP Contract 
  • Experience working with Aboriginal people and living in a remote community 
  • Trade background is highly regarded
