Actuarial Analyst
Full Time Opportunity
At Greenstone, Data driven decisioning underpins most critical business processes. Our Analytics team build data driven models and conducts analysis to further Greenstone's commercial outcomes and optimise profitability.
Our Actuarial Analyst will support the Actuarial Analytics Manager and wider Analytics team in the maintenance and enhancement of the actuarial valuation model of the customer lifetime value of the entire portfolio. The opportunity will primarily focus on Life Insurance but also include General Insurance and Pet Insurance.
This model affects financial reporting, performance management and optimisation across Greenstone.
What are we looking for?
- Tertiary qualifications in Actuarial Studies
- 2+ years experience in similar actuarial or analytics driven role
- Experience with policy admin systems and premium calculations
- Strong experience in SQL
- Strong experience in Excel / VBA
- Strong conceptual, problem solving and analytical skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong time management skills and ability to handle conflicting priorities
Desirable
- Familiarity with linux operating systems and AWS
- Familiarity with machine learning techniques and pipelines
- Experience with cashflow modelling
- Experience in setting actuarial assumptions and conducting experience investigation
- Experience in Python / R
