About the job:We are currently seeking a talented Actuarial Analyst to join our team and work with one of our clients, a leading player in the commercial insurance sector. Our client provides innovative solutions and exceptional service to their customers. In this role, you will play a key part in providing to shape the client’s pricing strategies and ensure that their offerings meet the evolving needs of their customers.
Your Responsibilities:
- Preparation and analysis of insurance data assets to resolve business inquiries.
- Creating and employing models to devise pricing offerings that meet business objectives and client's customer needs.
- Develop and incorporate data capabilities and pricing insights across the entire range of commercial insurance products.
- Create pricing frameworks aimed at enhancing risk selection to attain business objectives.
- Implementing pricing rates into the pricing engine.
- Monitoring model and financial outcomes and advising on suitable actions.
- Offering recommendations and solutions for ad hoc queries.
- Conducting data preparation, validation, and analysis.
- Designing or evaluating the reasonableness and suitability of models and results.
- Documenting processes, analyses, and investigations.
- Preparing reports to present findings.
- 3+ years of demonstrated experience as an Actuarial Analyst in the general insurance industry.
- Proficiency in Excel.
- Proficiency in coding languages, with preference for SAS/Python/R.
- Strong analytical aptitude with the ability to interpret complex data.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to swap between complex, technical explanations and simplified, easy-to-understand explanations.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proven ability to work independently and meet deliverables within deadlines.
- Tertiary qualifications in Mathematics, or Actuarial Studies.
