The Life Actuarial Risk Management (LARM) team deliver relevant and reliable information on financial reporting, analysis, risk, capital and value to stakeholders. You will report in to the Chief and Appointed Actuary.
Your Role
- Assumption Review: Assist in the Terms of Trade (TOT) review for valuation purposes, including implementation, testing, change analysis and stakeholder communication
- Reserving: Application of appropriate reserving techniques, including IFRS17
- Maintain, develop, test and document reserve models
- Ensure the overall process for producing results and reports is well developed, documented and operational risks are mitigated or well managed
- Delivery of high quality reports and other documentation for internal and external reference (including audit)
- Capital: Contribute to the development, testing, determination and documentation of economic risk capital (ERC) and LAGIC models
- Management Information: Contribute to the production of high quality reports and other documentation for internal and external reference (including audit) in a timely manner.
- Assist in the development and reporting of business plan forecasts from business estimates
- Assist in the development and presentation of management information insights from valuation systems
- Up to 5 years post qualified (FIAA or equivalent) experience in a Life (re)insurance pricing or reserving environment
- Sound modelling ability using SQL and VBA
- Experience in life prudential regime in Australia and internationally including MoS financial reporting, US GAAP and Solvency II. Experience in economic capital implementation and management would be well regarded
- Experience in technical report writing to produce comprehensive commercial reports and documentation, including considered opinion and justification of data and content
- Ability to identify, investigate and present capital management insights to senior management
