Position Overview:
As our Administration and Marketing Assistant at Aussie Ark, you will be an integral part of our team, responsible for providing exceptional administrative and Marketing support to senior management and helping run our eco-tourism initiatives and online shop. Your role will involve handling phone and email enquiries, managing and entering donations, managing merchandise stock and sending merchandise orders, assisting with social media platforms, and engaging/connecting with potential supporters to help us secure a future for Australia's unique wildlife.
Key Responsibilities:
- Professionally manage phone calls and emails, addressing enquiries and providing accurate information about Aussie Ark's initiatives.
- Maintain a donor database by accurately entering donations, updating donor information, and ensuring data integrity.
- Engage with potential supporters, sharing the mission and goals of Aussie Ark and inspiring them to contribute to our cause.
- Collaborate with various departments to ensure smooth communication and coordination.
- Assist with general administrative tasks, such as filing, record-keeping, and preparing documents.
- Assist with marketing and social media platforms.
- Assist with website design maintenance.
- Assist with collateral and graphic design.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Previous experience in an administrative or customer service role is highly desirable.
- Previous experience in marketing or the passion to learn
- Previous experience in design is desirable but not integral.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with a friendly and approachable demeanour.
- Excellent organisational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Proficiency in using computer software, including Microsoft Office and database systems.
- Experience in Mailchimp, Canva, Meta business Suite and WooCommerce is desirable but not integral.
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment and to deadlines.
- A genuine interest in wildlife conservation and a passion for contributing to positive change.
- Driver’s license
