Our client, a logistics provider seeks an Administration Assistant to be based in their office in Northern suburb of Melbourne.

About The Role:

The Administration Assistant is responsible for the successful co-ordination of all documentation that requires further attention of company. In addition, the Administration Assistant will ensure timely and accurate organisation of internal control procedures and provide both guidance and support to their peer(s). The position requires a high level of accuracy and attention to detail, willingness to learn, self-motivation and strong communication skills.

Key responsibilities:

    • Export reports from WMS (warehouse management system) software program.
    • Generating and preparing documentation to send to clients.
    • Answer incoming phone calls.
    • Welcome and assist visitors.
  • Maintain the daily staff attendance sheet.
  • Efficiently monitor and manage emails.
  • Scan and file documents using automated systems.
  • Collaborate with operations staff as needed.
  • Arrange and set up meetings.
  • Perform general administrative duties.
  • Work core business hours, Monday to Friday, from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm

Experience:

  • Previous experience in a similar role/capacity
  • Good administration and customer service skills
  • Solid computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Strong planning, coordinating and organisational skills.
  • Ability to follow processes and procedures accurately.
  • Hands-on approach with a high attention to detail
  • Works well independently with minimum supervision and is also a team player.
