St Paul VI Catholic Parish Wimmera-Mallee, in the Diocese of Ballarat, was formed on 1st July 2021 with the merging of the four former Parishes of Ss Michael & John Horsham, St Patrick's Nhill, St Joseph's Hopetoun, and St Mary's Warracknabeal, now covering an area of 21,300 sq km and comprising of 10 churches and two additional church (town) communities. All administration for the Parish is carried out by the Parish Office in Horsham.
Qualifications & experience
- Certificate III in Business Adminstration or equivalent experience.
- Sound knowledge of Microsoft programs including Word, Publisher, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills, including emails, phonecalls, and in person.
- A Working With Children Check and National Police Check are required for the successful applicant.
Tasks & responsibilities

- Produce and format complex text and data documents, maintain spreadsheets, preparation of PowerPoint presentations weekly, maintaining rosters.
- Answering phone calls and attending to people coming into the office.
- Manage Parish appointments, respond to invitations, organise internal meetings, record keeping, data entry, work with grieving families organising funerals, manage bookings for Coughlin Park Community Centre.
- This role is part-time, 3 days per week (18hrs minimum) between 9am - 4pm. Tuesdays and Fridays are required, with either Wed or Thurs flexible.
