About the team

The Office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research) provides core services in support of the University’s research. This includes Research Infrastructure Centres, the University Library, the Office of Research, the University Institutes, the Graduate Research School, and the Office of Industry and Commercial Development.

About the opportunity

Reporting to the Executive Officer, you will provide administrative support to the Pro Vice-Chancellor (Research), the Pro Vice-Chancellor (Health & Medical Research) the Director, Office of Research, and the University Librarian, including calendar and diary management, invoice processing, arranging travel and reimbursements, and other ad hoc duties.

To be considered for this role, you will demonstrate:

• Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience
• Highly developed organisational skills and ability to set priorities and meet deadlines
• Highly developed written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work under minimal supervision, show initiative, and work productively as part of a team
• Highly developed use of Microsoft Office suite including Outlook, Word, Powerpoint, and other software
