Job description

SB Transport is a Perth based flexible road-transport service operating Australia-wide.

SBTP handles heavy machinery transport, general freight services and logistics for clients and contractors in the mining, oil and gas, construction, and agricultural sectors.

Due to continued and exciting growth, we are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated team player that can contribute positively to a close-knit team by providing comprehensive and professional administrative and accounting support services.

Individual will need to have a positive, flexible team-oriented approach, with willingness and desire to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team.  This position will give you enough variety to keep you on your toes and will provide the successful candidate with plenty of room to grow and develop.  Prior administration experience is a necessity! 

The role is located at our Transport yard in Forrestfield, Tuesday-Thursday 9:00am – 2:30pm Part-Time Role.

DUTIES INCLUDED

  • Provide comprehensive administrative support for operations and management.
  • Deliver a client-focused service to internal and external personnel by demonstrating a professional outlook, being approachable, helpful, and co-operative. 
  • Facilitate the daily processing, data entry and reconciliation of relevant dockets and records received by the operational team.

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA

  • Current unencumbered WA C Class Drivers Licence
  • Experience within the Transport and Logistics sectors preferred.
  • Qualification or progression towards, Certificate in Business or a related discipline, or significant practical experience to an equivalent level. 
  • Advanced MYOB, or other accounting software, skills, and experience
  • Accounts Payable and Receivable processing
  • Experience in Payroll and timesheet processing 
  • Experience within finance or accounting firm whilst not essential, would be advantageous.
  • Proficiency in a range of computing skills including word processing, spreadsheets, databases, internet, email and use of Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Able to work in a team but also autonomously. 
  • Process driven with strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong time management, planning and organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities to meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

All candidates must supply a recent National Police Clearance (less than 6-months old) and can pass pre-employment medicals and drug/alcohol screening.
