The Motor Accidents Insurance Board (MAIB) is a Tasmanian Government Business Enterprise which operates Tasmania's personal injury motor accident insurance scheme. The MAIB supports people recovering from, or living with injuries which result from motor accidents by providing benefits, rehabilitation, lifetime support and common law rights.
Career Opportunity - Administration Officer, 1 Permanent 1 Temporary(fixed term 12 months)
Our Administration Officers work in a tight-knit team environment. Day-today, you will be responsible for:
Provision of general administrative support to Claims Officers, which may include data entry, scanning and registration, payment processing, new claims processing, provider management and word processing;
Paying client/provider accounts in accordance with payment procedures and liaising when required with service providers;
Responding to telephone enquiries and routine correspondence from clients and service providers in accordance with claims management procedures;
Reception duties, as required; and
Provision of general office support services.
Our office hours are 8.30am- 5pm, Monday to Friday.

The person we are looking for will possess:
Highly developed communication, client service and data entry skills;
The ability to work autonomously, set priorities and manage a variable workload;
Proven capacity to apply analytical, decision-making and negotiation skills and apply appropriate judgement, initiative and discretion; and
Demonstrated capacity to actively participate within workplace teams and contribute to change management.
