The Opportunity
Our Emergency Department have new opportunities for experienced Administration Officers to join our team. Norwest Private Hospital is seeking Part-Time/Casual team members with excellent customer service skills to work across a rotating shift roster.
Key functions of the role but not limited to include:
· Perform a broad range of administration duties including:
· Manage a busy emergency reception desk, dealing directly with patients and families, registering patients
· Answer and redirect calls
· Prepare admission paperwork
· Conduct follow up requests
· Maintain accurate and effective record management systems including preparation of medical records
· Perform Health Fund Checks as required
· Manage the collection of excesses/co payments
· Coordinate with staff from other departments
· Complete other clerical tasks such as data entry

Norwest Private Hospital is located in the rapidly developing North West corridor of Sydney and is operated by Healthscope, a leading provider of private healthcare in Australia. The hospital has 277 beds and is a high acuity facility with an Emergency Department located in Sydney's Bella Vista.
About You
To be successful in your application, you will:
· Have a friendly and customer service focused attitude with demonstrable experience
· Commit to our Safe Values
· Sound computer literacy skills
· Being able to prioritise workload
· Be available to participate in rotating shifts across 7 days, for Afternoon and Night shifts and be available to work 2-3 shifts per week on an ongoing basis.
· Previous experience in an administrative role - desirable
