Reporting to our Head of HR, the Administration Officer will be responsible for a number of administrative tasks that support a wide range of business units, allowing a deeper understanding of how businesses run, which will in turn help you to determine your future career path!
THE ROLE
This is a fantastic opportunity for a highly organised administration superstar with 1-2 years experience in an office environment, ready to take the next step in furthering their career, in a supportive and thriving environment!
Your duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Answer and respond to incoming phone calls, or take and pass on messages where required
- Maintain email using Outlook, ensuring that customers are responded to in a timely manner
- Greet and tend to any visitor on site, including staff, contractors, customers, and any other stakeholders. Also ensuring all guests sign in when arriving and sign out when leaving
- Regular cleaning of the office space, ensuring a clean, presentable environment
- Setting up the board room when meetings are to occur and cleaning up afterwards
- Organising catering for when meetings are being held in the office
- Managing oiffice consumables including stationary, pantry etc
- Filing and Scanning, data entry requiring an intermediate to advanced level of Word and Excel skills, laminating and binding
- Enter data and maintaining databases and spreadsheets
- Weekly ordering of office consumables; stationery from Officeworks and groceries from Woolworths
- Providing support to the Head of HR, completing any ad-hoc tasks where required
- Assisting other departments on occasion with administrative tasks where requested by your manager, including but not limited to:
- Sales team
- Customer Service
- Warehouse
- Order Processing
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- 1-2 years experience in an administrative position
- Demonstrated intermediate Microsoft Suite skills is required
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Experience with Mac/Apple computers
- Strong work ethic
- Tech savvy and able to work on multiple systems
- Organised and flexible – able to prioritise and juggle multiple simultaneous tasks
- Strong attention to detail
- Certificate IV or above in Business Administration is a definite advantage, but not mandatory
