About the role
This exciting role involves frontline assistance to our patients and visitors utilising our Same Day / Day of Surgery Unit. This includes providing face-to-face and telephone customer service to family members, relatives and carers. The role also works as part of a team to prepare medical records and other patient related material. Assistance is also provided to the clinical team to enable them to provide frontline care to our patients.
This role will be supported with both face to face mentoring, as well as online education based on the Hunter New England local Health District Administration Curriculum.
Where you'll be working
The successful applicants for this position will be based in the Same Day / Day of Surgery Unit at John Hunter Hospital. The service assists with the administration of patients and visitors who are attending the facility for same day surgery

We are looking for a self-driven candidate who is able to work both individually, as well as part of a larger multi-disciplinary team. You have strong prioritising and organisational skills, as well as the ability to communicate to a wide and diverse selection of customers and stakeholders.
