Our client, a Local government department located in Thornlands, is seeking an experienced Administration Officer to join their team on an initial 2 year contract, with full-time hours and an immediate start. With potential for extension and career development, this is a role not to be missed!

Primary Purpose: As the Business Support Officer, you'll be at the heart of the departments operations, providing high-level administrative support that supports the smooth running of the department. From managing correspondence to coordinating meetings and events, your contributions will be essential to the departments success.
Key Accountabilities:
- Provide a high level of administrative support for the Group through effectively managing correspondence, coordinating logistical support for meetings and group events, maintaining records management and preliminary issues investigation.
- Deliver quality customer service through operational and administrative advice and information to resolve enquiries from internal and external clients.
- Provide a high level of financial services to the Environment & Regulation group, including:
-management of fees and charges and where required calculating and receipting of fees
- obtaining quotations and the raising of orders,
- invoice checking and processing of payments
- the raising of invoices
- monitoring of budgets - Assist with the maintenance of databases to contribute to the achievement of Group and Units objectives, including collation and compilation of monthly performance reports for the Group and Units and perform some associated research duties when required.
- Assist with the units continuous improvement initiatives and review, develop and /or implement administrative systems and special projects to support the achievement of team objectives.
- Develop and maintain sound working relationships with internal and external stakeholders and partners, to contribute to the achievement of Group objectives.
Key Selection Criteria:
- Previous experience providing excellent admin and customer service support ideally within a regulatory/legislative environment.
- Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage competing priorities.
- Excellent communication skills.
