Administration Support and co-ordination in the delivery of excellent health care services.This role will be responsible for supporting the management of resources to meet business needs and growth.Mater Private Hospital Rockhampton has been supporting the health of people living in and around Rockhampton for more than a century. Today, our 136-bed facility features five operating theatres, a private emergency service and a wide range of specialised clinical services.Hourly rate: $35.45 -$ 39.62 per hour + casual loading, Super and salary packaging up to $15,900.
What you'll be doing- Perform administrative functions as required including updating hospital information systems with accurate patient information, development of reports and other correspondence.
- Process, coordinate and schedule referrals from the public health system.
- Work closely with clinical staff and VMO's in scheduling of public health referrals.
- Maintain currency of patient management systems, electronic or hardcopy, to include, but not limited to, patient details, diagnostic related grouping, hospitalisation status and location in the appropriate systems.
- Undertake financial viability checks and facilitate the collection and coding of expense invoices relating to public health referrals.
- Invoice coding and supporting month-end processes.
About youTo be successful with your application, you will have:
- Previous experience in a similar role within a healthcare environment will be advantageous.
- Experience in the coordination of services
- Proficient in written and interpersonal communication
- High level digital and computer literacy (including Microsoft Office)
- Knowledge of/or the ability to learn hospital computer database programs and Health Information Systems
- Ability to function individually and compatibly with team members of diverse clinical and experiential backgrounds.
