About the role:
Offender Management Division (OMD) Administrative Support Officers are responsible for providing administrative support to the Division including: the Sex Offender Register (SOR), Supervision Order Specialist Response Unit (SOSRU), Proactive Targeting Team (PTT) and Intelligence and Risk Team.
The role will report to the Senior Project Officer and will be part of the Project, Training and Support area of Offender Management Division.

Your duties will include:
Secretariat for key governance committees such as Serious Offender Management Steering Committee (SOMSC), Regional Offender Management Operations Committee (ROMOC), Person of Interest (POI) Management Committee and Investigative Case Conferences.
Performing general office support tasks, including correspondence and diary management, ensuring the operation of office equipment and fulfilling reception duties as required.
Assisting with the preparing, development and maintenance of various records and registers.
Assisting with the overall coordination of OMD's ‘Request for Assistance' process to manage regional requests.
As the successful applicant, you will have:
Ability to prioritise tasks and work effectively under pressure in a multifaceted team environment.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage competing priorities.
Experience in the performance of data entry and word processing tasks, including maintaining administrative records.
Demonstrated ability to accurately maintain computer and manual information systems, including the ability to accurately maintain and update administrative records.
Good communication skills with the ability to provide reception and telephone services.
Ability to work in a sensitive and confidential environment including the ability to deal with disturbing information.
An understanding of the customer service requirements of the position and a demonstrated record of strong commitment and achievement in meeting customer needs.
Requirements and relevant information:
One (1) x full-time, ongoing position available.
This position is located at Victoria Police Centre, 311 Spencer Street, Docklands. There may be occasions where the staff member will be required to work at the Supervision Order Specialist Responsive Unit - Level 6, 121 Exhibition Street.
The successful applicant will be required to undergo National Security Vetting, achieve and maintain a security classification as determined by the Department Head. To achieve this, applicants must be an Australian Citizen.
The successful candidate will be required to undergo pre-employment checks which may include fingerprint checks and misconduct screening.
