What You'll Be Doing
Western Sydney Diabetes (WSD) has swiftly pivoted from face to face clinics to telehealth during the COVID19 pandemic. Many patients and GP practices need technical support to encourage and be able to use the telehealth service.
- The administrative officer provides a professional and consumer focused first point of contact for telehealth to patients and family members referred to the Western Sydney Diabetes.
- This position will provide efficient and effective secretarial and administrative support services for the WSD and other Departments across ICH as needed.
- The position encompasses a range of duties and responsibilities, requiring a high level of organisational skills, reliability and flexibility.
Selection Criteria
- Demonstrated experience in providing secretarial and administrative support in particular to Telehealth system and on boarding of patients to the platform.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as part of a team especially in multi-disciplinary team in health setting.
- Proven high level organisational skills including the ability to problem solve, prioritise workload, multi-task and meet deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to identify issues of relevance, sensitivity and confidentiality, to interpret complex information and advice and use discretion in knowing when to escalate matters of importance and/or urgency.
- Experience in various word processing, desktop, publishing and database/spread sheet software, including Microsoft Office, Word and Excel and experience using iPM, KRONOS, TRIM, Oracle, and billing applications (Health Bill, Ezymed)
- Advanced proficiency in the use of the Microsoft suite of office products and ability to effectively utilise an electronic document management system, such as TRIM
