Position Profile: Perth Children’s Hospital (PCH) are seeking to appoint an experienced and enthusiastic individual to join our team as an Administrative AssistantTheatre Stores.

In this position you will provide excellent administrative support to the Operating Theatres Department. Additionally, you will be responsible for ordering, receiving, managing, and verifying goods to the Theatre Store.

About the Department/Service /Directorate: The Operating Theatres Complex at Perth Children's Hospital provides a safe and technologically advanced environment for surgery. Here's what you can expect:

  • Multiple Theatres: Our 12 operating theatres are equipped to handle both elective (planned) and emergency surgeries, as well as specialised procedures.
  • Seamless Care: The Operating Theatre Complex and Post Anaesthesia Care Unit (PACU) are directly connected to other critical care units, including the Surgical Admissions Centre, Surgical Short Stay Unit, Paediatric Critical Care (PCC), and the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).

Each question allows you to showcase your relevant skills and experiences in detail, with a generous word limit of 500 words per response.

1. Can you share your administrative background, including your methods for organising and prioritising tasks to ensure timely completion of deadlines, particularly within a dynamic team environment? (Essential Criteria 1 & 4 & 5)

2. Please provide your experience in overseeing the ordering, receiving, management, and verification of stock/goods, including any strategies you use to ensure accuracy and efficiency in this process? (Essential Criteria 2)

3. Can you share your experience with various computer programs and software, such as Microsoft Office and your experience with database management and data extraction. (Essential Criteria 6)

  • Please also provide a current resume which summarises your experience and contains phone and email contact details of two (2) professional referees, with at least one being a recent supervisor/line manager.
