The Office of General Counsel (OGC) is part of the portfolio of the Vice-Chancellor and is located within Chancellery. It is led by the General Counsel and Executive Director, Risk & Compliance. It brings together key risk related functions and consists of 3 teams:

Compliance and Assurance
The OGC commenced on 1 December 2022. It recognises the synergies and benefits of closer alignment of these three existing functional areas. The establishment of this unit provides an opportunity for existing and new members joining the OGC to focus on supporting the university to achieve its strategic objectives in a cross functional and collaborative way.
About the role:
The Administration Officer provides general administrative assistance to the General Counsel and Executive Director, Risk and Compliance and the Office of General Counsel (OGC) team. This typically involves assisting with legal matter allocation, collating and filing legal documents and general correspondence, management of the OGC website, records management and project work as required.
The Administration Officer reports to the Executive Assistant & Office Coordinator (EA/OC) will contribute to the smooth operation of the OGC by supporting the EA/OC to the General Counsel.
Major Functions:
Provide accurate, efficient and timely administrative support to the OGC as required.
Provide accurate, responsive and timely advice and assistance to staff and visitors.
Draft complex and/or confidential correspondence and reports as required.
Provide administrative support for OGC initiatives or university projects the OGC is involved in from time to time
Maintain yearly planner in consultation with the OGC.

Remuneration & Benefits
Base Salary Range: $75,243 to $86,078 pa (HEW 5)
This role attracts 17% superannuation (pension) in addition to the base salary.

This position is full time and appointment will be made on a fixed term basis for 12 months.
