As this is an entry level position, the position is also suitable for someone who is looking for an experience working in an office environment. This position is currently offered as a temporary part time position 20 hours per week until 16 August 2024 with a view to extend.We need someone to support our reception area on Monday to Friday from 7.30 to 11.30am.The position works with a team of Executive Assistants so there will be opportunity to step up and learn a higher-grade position during period of leave.Some of the responsibilities of the position are:
- Maintaining meeting room booking system and ensuring equipment in the meeting rooms are operational.
- Pay office function – entering standard duty roster of staff working in District MH into roster management system.
- Maintaining stationery supplies for the office.
- Provide excellent customer service for our visitors and callers including directing carers/consumers/public and transferring calls to relevant teams.
- Assist the Executive Officer in maintaining the day to day administrative needs of the District Mental Health Office.
Provide an efficient and effective administrative/clerical service within the SWSLHD District Mental Health Executive Unit.Where You'll Be Working

To be considered for this position, please ensure you address the selection criteria as thoroughly as possible. * Experience in provision of administration support and understanding of confidentiality and privacy issues.
- Demonstrated ability to plan, prioritise and organise work activities to achieve work outcomes.
- Demonstrated good communication skills e.g. written and verbal via telephone and face to face and possess highly developed interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated attention to detail with a very high level of accuracy when working with a range of systems and processes and sound problem solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a team member to achieve quality service outcomes.
- Ability to apply knowledge of electronic systems and computer software to achieve job outcomes and knowledge in use of Microsoft Office.
- Ability to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities.
- Must possess a valid Australian Drivers Licence (excluding learner driver's licences). If not already in possession, a NSW Drivers Licence must be obtained within 3 months of appointment.
