Remuneration: $33.30 - $34.33 per hour

Location: Westmead Hospital

Where you'll be working
Western Sydney Local Health District (WSLHD) is responsible for providing primary and secondary health care for people living in the Auburn, Blacktown, and The Hills Shire, Holroyd and Parramatta Local Government Areas (LGAs) and tertiary care to residents of the Greater Western Region. What you'll be doing
The Westmead transplant service is a well-regarded transplant service that has senior and highly motivated clinicians devoted to providing high class training in transplantation, in a multidisciplinary way. On-going long-term follow-up and research is integral to its operation. In this position you will work both independently as part of the team, your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing secretarial and administrative support services.
  • Collaborating with existing administrative staff.
  • Working under the direction of the Clinical Development Manager.
  • Ensuring administrative work supports seamless, timely, and comprehensive care for transplant patients and team members.

Selection Criteria:

  1. Previous experience in providing secretarial and administrative support.
  2. Demonstrated experience or qualification in medical terminology.
  3. Demonstrated high-level written and verbal communication skills.
  4. Demonstrated ability to work both independently as as part of a team.
  5. Proven high level organisational skills including the ability to problem solve, prioritise workload, multi-task and meet deadlines.
  6. Demonstrated ability to identify issues of relevance, sensitivity and confidentiality, and knowing when to escalate matters of importance and/or urgency.
  7. Demonstrated experience in using iPM, Oracle and the LHD billing applications, Microsoft Office: Word and Excel.
  8. Demonstrated experience working with multi-disciplinary teams within a health setting.
