Administration and Customer Service Support Officer (Technical Officer Security and Access Control)

  • Permanent full-time, 35 hours per week – core hours 8.30am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday
  • Salary between $71,952.48 - $77,887.62 + 11.5% superannuation

About the role:
The primary focus of this role is providing Customer Service to internal and external stakeholders. You will be responsible for processing CCTV download requests, programming and issuing security access cards, issuing keys to Council’s facilities and parks/reserves, arranging security guard services, producing access reports, checking and processing invoices and proactively troubleshooting issues with security systems and access cards.

The successful candidate will demonstrate the following key skills and attributes:

  • Exceptional telephone manner and Customer Service skills.
  • Current NSW class 1E, 2B, 2C security licence or willingness to obtain within 3 months of employment.
  • Sound knowledge of Security and Access Control systems would be highly regarded 
  • Sound knowledge of CCTV video management systems would be highly regarded 
  • Ability to participate in a 24 hour 7 day per week out of hours rotating on-call roster. Please see below for more details about on-call.
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
  • High level attention to detail.
  • Advanced problem-solving skills.

About On-Call:

The on-call officer provides remote assistance via laptop and mobile phone to internal and external stakeholders. No in person attendance is required outside of core working hours. On-call is shared between members of the team and is allocated in a flexible and fair way. When on-call, a daily allowance is paid and further remuneration for time spent performing on call duties.
