Administrative Officer - Transient and Outreach
Duration: Full time, fixed term until 30 June 2025
Base Salary: $76,727 - $81,764 per annum (Admin 4.1 to 4.4)

Who are we?
Established in 1991, Danila Dilba Health Service (DDHS) is an Aboriginal community-controlled organisation committed to providing culturally appropriate, comprehensive primary health care services and community development within the Biluru (Aboriginal) community of the Yilli Rreung (Greater Darwin) Region in the Northern Territory.
We work to address the social determinants of health including the broader issues that affect our people's health, through evidence-based research and public advocacy. We also work to empower individuals, families, and communities to optimise their health.
About the role:
Provide high level Administrative Support to the Transient and Outreach Team to support increased access to comprehensive Primary Health Care for vulnerable homeless and transient individuals in the greater Darwin region.
Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the development and implementation of strategies designed to meet organisational and program objectives.
- Assist in the identification and implementation of innovations to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of service delivery.
- Support the process of organizational change within the scope of the project.
- Coordinate logistics and operational aspects related to project implementation.
- Facilitate communication among team members to ensure alignment with project goals.
- Monitor project progress and identify potential risks or issues, escalating them to the appropriate stakeholders as needed. Assist in the collection and analysis of quantitative and qualitative data for the purpose of reporting and evaluation.
- Design evaluation frameworks and methodologies to assess project outcomes.
To be successful you will need:
Essential
- Demonstrated experience in working effectively in a customer service or administrative role requiring confidentiality, initiative, integrity, and sound judgement.
- High level of administrative and organisational skills including experience managing workload timeframes.
- Experience in administrative procedures for management of documents and maintenance of records.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with people and stakeholders across a range of cultures and professions.
- Highly developed interpersonal skills including written and verbal communication skills with an ability to handle sensitive matters and maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to work independently with strong organisational skills and demonstrated ability to plan, manage and prioritise tasks to deliver outcomes within tight timelines.
- Demonstrated high level computer skills, including experience using Microsoft Word and Excel (or similar) as well as the ability to use clinical practice software.
Desirable
- Qualification or working towards qualification in Health Administration.
- Demonstrated experience and competency in working with Communicare.
- Experience in working in an Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Service or similar
- complex environment.

- 6 weeks annual leave per annum
- 5 days paid leave during our end of year shut down period (in addition to annual leave).
- Salary packaging of up to $15,990 per annum.
