Operations
In Operations there are 15 teams with a total of c260 staff across three locations (Edinburgh, Newcastle and London). Operations support the RBC Brewin Dolphin client life cycle by providing excellent administrative and technical support to our branches and client-facing executives.
Responsibilities include setting up new accounts and transferring in cash and stock, settling transactions across various markets, applying fees, reconciling cash and stock accounts and providing portfolio valuations.

About this opportunity:
This will be a full time (35hrs per week, working Monday-Friday) role on a FTC contract based within our Newcastle office. Please ensure you can commute to the office 5 days a week.
We have 10 fixed term contract positions until 31 December 2024 across various teams in Newcastle - we are looking for good / experienced Administrators and data inputters ideally with experience in Financial Services / Operations (Transfers, Onboarding & Maintenance and Corporate Actions experience would be beneficial). We will be looking to hold face-to-face interviews on 19/20 February in the Newcastle Office
Skills required:

Responsibilities Include:
- Understand and adhere to Risk & Control Framework and Policy Framework specific to the role in Operations.
- Ensure work is produced to a high level of accuracy and in a timely manner and to relevant SLAs (where defined) or Operations standards
- Carry out all administrative duties where required in line with RBC Brewin Dolphin procedures
- Support delivery of team plans via accurate recording of work in appropriate tools e.g. ActiveOps and ensuring Skills Matrix is reflective of current skillset
- Support line manager in ensuring departmental guides, processes and procedures are worked from and kept up to date
- Escalate any issues as appropriate to management in relation to daily workload completion a timely manner.
- Support production of accurate MI and reporting as defined within role
- Understand the team goals and the relationship to wider group strategy
- Identify and highlight opportunities for simplification / innovation via continuous improvements in working practices, in conjunction with the Operations Change & Improvement team
- Support delivery of projects where appropriate.
- Take ownership for your personal and professional development.
- Proactively contribute towards a positive employee engagement culture
- Participate and contribute to Team meetings
