Administrator - Logistics & Op Services

Sino Iron is the largest magnetite mining and downstream processing operation in Australia, located 100km Southwest of Karratha in the mining hub of the Pilbara.

Our fully integrated operation features an open pit mine serviced by the biggest haul trucks in the world, a six-line concentrator and port terminal facilities at nearby Cape Preston. Our state-of-the-art power station and desalination plant are among the largest in the State.

The Opportunity

We require an Administrator to provide support to the Logistics & Operational Services Department onsite at Cape Preston. This is a permanent role on an 8/6 roster FIFO from Perth.

You will provide strategic coordination for the Facilities & Logistics department to deliver a consistent approach to logistic support across site whilst maintaining effective relationships with other business areas, contractors, and external stakeholders. 

Reporting to the Facilities & Logistics Manager, you will undertake a variety of administrative activities including:

• Accurate reporting and processing of end of month invoicing and recharging.
• Processing of departmental invoicing through SAP.
• Raising and maintain accurate purchase orders through SAP.
• Provide administrative support to Facilities & Logistics encompassing Village Services, Facilities Maintenance, and Site Logistics.
• Assisting in the collation of regulatory Environmental Reporting.
• Provide administrative support in weekly contractual meetings with the service providers.
• Provide accuracy in capturing costs and correctly recharging to relevant departments through SAP.
• Maintain accurate records through the use of SAP for invoicing and invoice payments; and diary management.
• Document Management preparation, support, and data entry.
• Coordinate and maintain the Travel Request process for all departmental personal.

To be successful in the role you will demonstrate the following:

• Previous experience in a Administrative role (exposure within the mining industry highly regarded).
• Well-developed IT skills (knowledge of SAP, Microsoft Office, Data Base Management systems).
• Ability to coordinate and facilitate meetings and audits.
• Certificate in Business Administration desirable but not essential.

Personally, you will have great communication skills, be a flexible team player with the ability to work autonomously.
