Turning Point Dance is a reputable Adelaide-based dance school dedicated to providing exceptional dance education in a nurturing environment. Specialising in classical ballet, we also offer classes in contemporary, jazz, tap, and more.
Coming from small beginnings in Salisbury in 1996, Turning Point Dance takes great pride in its reputation as a leading ballet and dance institution in Adelaide and Australia. Located in our custom-built premises in Thebarton, our studio warmly welcomes students of all genders, ages, and levels of experience. We start accepting students as young as two and a half years old, and provide a progressive path through advanced levels as they mature. We also have carefully structured programs designed for adult students with varying levels of experience, as well as beginners in their teenage years.
We are seeking an experienced and versatile office all-rounder to join our team on a casual basis in Thebarton.
In this role, you will be responsible for the management of day-to-day operations to assist us in keeping our dance school business running smoothly.
The Job:
- Be the first point of contact for all customer-facing reception needs
- Managing email and phone communications in a professional and timely manner
- Managing customer accounts, billing and payment arrangements using Dance Studio Pro software
- Active supervision of students when needed
- Ad hoc tasks
- Business bookkeeping, reconciliations, BAS, payroll with Xero is desirable (training will be provided)
- Managing business social media (Facebook and Instagram), digital advertising accounts (Meta Business) and website maintenance (Squarespace) is desirable
About you
- Current Working With Children Check (essential)
- Computer literacy
- Excellent phone manner and interpersonal skills
- High level of organisation and adaptability
- Ability to work autonomously
- Working knowledge of Xero desirable or willingness to learn
- Working knowledge of Facebook and Instagram desirable or willingness to learn
