Christian Aboriginal Parent-directed School (CAPS) Coolgardie, a Kindy to Year 12 school with boarding facilities, is seeking a maternity leave replacement for 12 months in the above position, commencing Term 3, 2024.

SCOPE
Assists in the financial and system management of CAPS Coolgardie including Hostel and CAPS Kurrawang
WORKING CONDITIONS
Full Time Employment 1.0 FTE for a 12 month contract – Maternity Leave replacement
HOURS
8am – 4pm (This may change in the future)
REPORTING STRUCTURE
This position will report directly to the Administrator/Business Manager
SKILLS – ESSENTIAL

● Experience in finance-based duties and bookkeeping.

● Fast and accurate touch typing
● Strong computer skills in Word, Excel, and Outlook
● MYOB experience essential
● Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
SKILLS – DESIRABLE
● Experience or willing to learn school data management system.
● Current First Aid training
● Willingness to obtain National Police Clearance and Working with Children Check as required.
Duties and responsibilities
● Oversee and assist in the processing of financial accounts into MYOB including Bank Feeds and reconciliation for all bank accounts, purchases, and payments, ensuring all documentation is attached to the relevant transaction as is possible.
● Manage and keep up to date data in accounting management software including debtors and creditors information e.g. terms, contact details etc.
● Process payroll fortnightly for checking by Administrator/Business Manager.
● Assist Administrator/Business Manager in preparation of reports for Finance and Board meetings.
● Balance, reconcile and bank Cash from Canteen etc.
● Assist in the preparation of accounts in accounting software for BAS, IAS, Board finance reports and end of year audits.
● Purchase of stationery and teaching resources for staff.
● Assist and Oversee the purchase and sale of school uniforms including bi-annual stocktake.
● Willingness to work as part of a team led by the Business Manager, cooperating and working alongside other administration staff to support the vision and mission of the organisation efficiently and effectively.
● Assist Administrator/Business Manager in their duties and responsibilities as requested.
● Attendance at ALL Staff Devotions, Staff meetings as directed by the Principal.
● Adhering to all the organisation’s policies and procedures including health and safety requirements.
● Other duties as instructed by Administrator/Business Manager and Principal as may be required.
