Join us at Limestone Coast Local Health Network (LCLHN) as an Advanced Clinical Risk Consultant, where you will play a pivotal role in supporting, coordinating, and implementing our Clinical Risk management framework. This position offers a unique opportunity to influence strategic directions, ensure comprehensive identification and management of Clinical Risks, and lead projects that enhance patient, client, and service outcomes.
Position Overview: As an Advanced Clinical Risk Consultant, you will leverage your extensive clinical nursing/midwifery knowledge to provide expert guidance and leadership across various disciplines within LCLHN. You will take responsibility for managing and coordinating projects and programs that contribute to clinical excellence and safety, aligning with organisational goals and government policies. Your role will also involve managing and coordinating medico-legal advice and ensuring adherence to professional standards and policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clinical Leadership: Provide expert clinical leadership to nurses, midwives, medical officers, and executive teams, fostering a culture of excellence and safety.
- Project Coordination: Lead and coordinate projects and programs aimed at improving patient/client/service outcomes through innovative clinical practices.
- Policy Development: Contribute and manage LCLHN responsibilities for state-wide portfolios/projects/programs to contribute to the development, implementation and evaluation of relevant Departmental and Government policies
- Risk Management: Implement and oversee a robust Clinical Risk management framework, ensuring alignment with organizational strategies and regulatory requirements.
- Autonomous Decision Making: Practice autonomously within the healthcare system, making critical clinical decisions and ensuring adherence to best practices and standards.
You must be registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse or Nurse/Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate

Applicant Information
This is a part time vacancy working 40 hours per fortnight and salary will be adjusted according to actual hours worked.
