About the role…
This exciting new role is part of the Risk team reporting to the Chief Risk Officer (CRO) and is focused on the development, implementation and assurance of CPS 230 Operational Risk requirements with the aim of increasing Police Health’s organisational resilience.
Some of the key responsibilities include:
- Support the development and implementation of an appropriate business resilience and risk culture within Police Health via collaborative activities (i.e. end to end process mapping, business impact analysis activities, development of Business Continuity plans);
- Assist in developing and delivering awareness/education sessions and training to embed knowledge within the business and upskilling staff;
- Support the facilitation and delivery of scenarios and desktop exercises to support continual improvement;
- Provide input into the strategic and operational direction of Police Health’s broader risk and compliance requirements, and
- Act as a ‘business resilience champion’ by modelling Police Health risk management and business resilience policies and practices.
About you
You'll have 'runs on the board' as well as tertiary qualifications (certificate minimum) in risk, Business Continuity / resilience. Your experience in the discipline of Business Continuity and risk will be apparent in your work history. Your background will span:
- Hands-on experience in operational risk, Business Continuity, incident and crisis management or emergency planning.
- Knowledge and understanding of CPS 220 Risk Management and CSP 230 Operational Risk Management.
- Report writing, including the ability to interpret and present complex, technical concepts;
- A demonstrated ability to interpret legislative and professional standards;
- A background in facilitating Business Continuity and risk workshops and training sessions both on-line and in person; and,
- Significant and effective stakeholder management coupled with well-developed problem solving and research abilities.
