Our client, a modern Major Referral Hospital located in NSW is looking for an Advanced Trainee in General Medicine to join their team.

The role:

The hospital is seeking an Advanced Trainee in General Medicine to join their team.  The successful applicant will be working with of a team of junior doctors and Consultants to provide comprehensive medicine service to people living in the community.

The Hospital:

The client, a major referral hospital provides high level care for the population of the region. With 195 beds, it provides the majority of specialist medical and surgical services for the Network.

The hospital includes specialist wards/units for GENERAL MEDICINE, surgery, day surgery, planned and emergency theatre service, coronary care, intensive care, obstetrics, paediatrics, 24 hour emergency department, oncology, palliative care, rehabilitation, stroke, acute renal dialysis, high dependency and mental health and an extensive range of outpatient clinics.

Allied health services, including occupational therapy, speech pathology, social work, physiotherapy, dietetics, radiology, pathology, and pharmacy, are an integral part of the organisation and contribute to the high level of patient care.

With a dedicated 12 bed unit specifically designed for older people, the unit is designed to provide a homely, non-threatening environment with patients who are expected to be active and mobile during their stay.

The Local Health District covers an area of 11,335 square kilometres and is a non-commercial government funded health organisation that provides quality health care at public hospitals in the region. It is also one of the fastest growing and ageing populations in NSW, with it providing a diverse range of services to a population of about 215,000 people.

A major metropolitan hub of the region where the Hastings River meets the Pacific Ocean, and is an easy four hours' drive north of Sydney.

The area is a paradise for those who love the outdoors. You name it, it's right here at your door; from sailing, kayaking and surfing, to paragliding, bushwalking in nearby national parks, deep sea fishing, whale watching and stunning coastal walks.
