About the role

We have a permanent opportunity for an Advisor - Condition Assessment. The role will be responsible for engaging, managing and coordinating the delivery of the sewer and drainage inspections to ensure the central collection, storage and distribution of quality data within the Corporation’s nominated sewer inspection software platform. This role will be based in our Shenton Park office within the Reliability - Inspection & Condition Assessment section.

What the role will offer
  • Manage and coordinate the delivery of the Corporation’s planned sewer and/or drainage inspection program to confirm condition and identify issues
  • Initiate projects, within the nominated sewer inspection software platform, for planned gravity pipe inspection projects to ensure centralised coordination of data with inspection contractors
  • Engage, monitor and direct inspection contractors for all planned inspections to ensure the inspection scope is delivered
  • Act as the central coordinator for the Corporation’s nominated sewer inspection software platform
  • Review defect coding on all (reactive and planned) contractor inspections to the required inspection standard and perform quality control activities
  • Conduct quality assurance and control activities with regards to inspections delivered by other areas within the Corporation
  • Undertake the role of primary administrator and local user expert for all sewerage and drainage inspection data within the Corporation and for the Corporation’s nominated sewer inspection software platform
Key skills and experience
  • Certificate III in Water Operations and substantial operational experience in pipeline inspection, or extensive operational experience in pipeline inspection
  • Considerable experience in Contract Management and/or Project Management
  • Statement of Attainment in Unit NWPNET037— Inspect sewer or stormwater assets and Unit NWPNET017— Supervise and report on conduit inspections
  • Extensive knowledge and skills in the use of inspection software platforms (WinCan VX, WinCan Web) both in the field and office environment
  • Substantial knowledge of inspection defect standards and codes (such as WSA05)
  • Strong technical report writing skills
