Macmahon has an exciting opportunity for a HR Advisor to join the People team. Based at the Greenbushes site in Bridgetown and reporting to the Superintendent People - Surface, this role would suit an ambitious HR practitioner, with demonstrated experience in managing all aspects of employee relations. This position will provide HR Generalist support and is site based on a 5 days on, 2 days off roster. You will be joining a supportive and highly experienced group of HR professionals in a thriving organisation and a freshly established project team.
The Greenbushes project is located in the picturesque South West region of Western Australia in the Shire of Bridgetown-Greenbushes. Our client, Talison Lithium, is the world’s leading lithium minerals concentrate provider and the Greenbushes project is recognised as containing the world’s highest grade and largest hard rock deposit of the lithium mineral spodumene. Macmahon commenced surface mining operations at the project on 01 July 2023.
Responsibilities
- Provide accurate advice and high-level support on all HR/ER queries to the frontline managers and employees at Greenbushes
- Support or lead workplace investigations and disciplinary processes
- Leverage key HRIS tools to deliver and support People Business Partner activities and encourage leaders to use technology to increase efficiency and drive business results
- Analyse and interpret Macmahon employee data and key HR metrics to identify workforce trends, understand and respond to workforce needs
- Liaise with management to identify, drive and achieve retention strategies as outlined within project Attrition Mitigation Plans
- Issue and analyse monthly People reports to client groups
Qualifications and attributes
- Well established experience in a similar role, preferably within a mining environment
- Bachelor Degree in Human Resources or equivalent
- Demonstrated knowledge of best HR/ER practices and employment legislation
- Objective with sound judgement and decision-making skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Current C Class Drivers Licence
- SuccessFactors experience would be advantageous
