What you bring to the table
Reporting to the Head of AFLW, your role is to ensure our players thrive both on and off the field. Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing strong relationships with AFLW players
- Counselling and guiding players in the creation and execution of individual development plans
- Enhancing life skills for a health work-life balance
- Providing wellbeing services and facilitating professional development opportunities
- Supporting the transition of players, engaging partners, families, and employers as part of our “Freo Family”
- Educating players about available services through the AFL Player's Association
What we're looking for
We are seeking a candidate who brings:
- Tertiary qualifications or higher in Health, Science, Education, Psychology, Counselling, Social Sciences or other relevant fields
- Demonstrated experience in a similar role or capacity
- AFLPA Executive Certificate of Player Development or intention to complete this qualification
- Demonstrates exceptional integrity, emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills
- Experience working with female athletes in an elite sporting environment preferred but not essential
- Willing to work weekends and travel interstate for match day fixtures or other Club events
