After Hours Coordinator 

Permanent Part Time or Full Time

Classification: Registered Nurse Grade 5 (ZC5).

Award: Nurses and Midwives (Victorian Public Sector) (Single Interest Employers) Enterprise Agreement 2020-2024

This is an exciting opportunity to join a small but dynamic leadership team and an amazing career opportunity for an experienced Registered Nurse with sound clinical skills, wishing to step up into a leadership role. You will assist in changing the healthcare story with the local rural community and be a part of the process as we build a wonderful new hospital.  Whether you are wishing to take a step in pursuit of higher level management or purely wanting to lead, mentor and impart your industry and professional knowledge to aspiring healthcare staff, this position provides a challenge and is an integral role at MDHS. KEY SELECTION CRITERIA

Qualifications / Experience

  1. Registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  2. Post Graduate Qualification in Management, or working towards.

Specialist Expertise

  1. Demonstrated comprehensive knowledge of contemporary patient flow and discharge practices.
  2. Demonstrated awareness of Performance Monitoring Framework business rules.
  3. Demonstrated effective leadership skills including highly developed skills in communication, problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation.
  4. Demonstrated ability to facilitate and manage change within a large complex healthcare organisation.
  5. Knowledge of contemporary human resource management issues including workplace health and safety, equal opportunity and anti-discrimination.
  6. Demonstrated evidence of commitment to ongoing education and professional development to ensure working within current scope of practice.
  7. Manages and engages with stakeholders consistent with MDHS values of GREAT

Personal Qualities

  1. Demonstrated high level written and verbal communication, coordination and organisational skills
