After Hours Medical Officer
We are seeking After Hours Medical Officers to join our team at Tamara Private Hospital on a casual basis.
The role
The role includes but is not limited to patient review and management, medication charting, clinical admissions, review of clinical investigations, transfer and discharge support.
Your Skills and Experience
- Relevant registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- A minimum of 3 years clinical experience
- Experience in an acute health care facility as a Junior Medical Officer
- Competent in providing advanced life support measures
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team and independently as required
Remuneration:
On offer is a based hourly rate of $110 per hour + on call, penalties and allowances, and superannuation.

Tamara Private Hospital is a 45 bed acute medical, rehabilitation and advanced surgical hospital situated in Tamworth NSW. The Hospital provides an extensive range of medical and surgical services including a specialist Day Surgery Unit. Specialties include general surgery, urology including the latest in robotic procedures, endoscopy, ophthalmology, gynaecology, orthopaedics including major joint replacements, cosmetic surgery, ENT, bariatric surgery, oral maxillary and dental. The hospital has a modern operating theatre complex, high dependency unit, surgical ward, medical ward, and rehabilitation ward and day surgery facility. The hospital specialises in surgical, medical and rehabilitation care.

Requirements
- Must provide a National Police check conducted within the previous 12 months
- According to the role, Ramsay may require a Working-With-Children check and proof of immunisation against infectious diseases, which may include Covid-19.
