Role Responsibilities
We are looking for a motivated systems administrator to join our team in the role of systems maintenance and support engineer. This role is to provide overnight Support and Maintenance coverage to our clients, as well as undertaking project work. The successful applicant will have strong communication skills, excellent attention to detail, ability to work independently, and have superior troubleshooting skills.
If you are an experienced Systems Administrator and have advanced communication skills then read on. You will be responsible for the efficient and effective administration of the clients' server, network and storage infrastructure including maintenance, installation, configuration, and deployment as well as availability, backups, performance and security.
The successful applicant will have skills and a minimum of 3 years’ experience in the following areas:
- Windows Server/Group Policy Management
- Software Updates Management
- Virtualisation
- Network Management
- Network Monitoring
- Ticketing & Support
- Warranty and Repairs
Desired qualifications:
- Bachelor level tertiary qualifications in ICT or equivalent experience
- Microsoft certified Engineer
- Exposure to ITIL or other service management frameworks
Experience with most or all of the following products is highly desirable:
- Microsoft Level 3 (Windows Server and Desktop, AD, Exchange, Microsoft 365)
- Virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, Citrix, VDI)
- Infrastructure backup and disaster recovery (Veeam)
- Experience with management and implementation of cloud hosting (Azure or AWS)
- Linux, macOS and iOS
- Firewalls (Palo Alto, Juniper, Fortinet)
- Switching and routing (Juniper, Cisco, HP ProCurve)
- Application packaging and deployment (InTune)
- VoIP deployment and management (MS Teams; Digium Switchvox)
- Excellent fault diagnosis skills
