About the Role –
As this is a hands-on role, we are looking for a highly skilled production floor supervisor who is a natural leader with proven experience in people management, and a continuous improvement/LEAN mind-set with the capability to drive process improvement through employee engagement and development.
Reporting to the Production Manager, you will be responsible for driving optimal performance and promoting continuous improvement to ensure your FMCG (fast moving consumable goods) production line operates smoothly and successfully.
The Afternoon Shift timing will be 2pm to 22:06pm.
Supervising people and the operation of production lines, your responsibilities will include:
- Lead, coach and manage the team to achieve high production standards
- Ensure continuous line controls & immediate corrective action (initiating problem solving as applicable).
- Achieve a "zero injury, defect, waste" mind-set & promote behaviors that have a positive impact on Safety Health Environment & Quality.
- Promote and manage risk awareness by engaging and coaching your team.
- Delivering KPI’s
- Delivering to plan
- Ensuring all work carried out adheres to quality, compliance, safety, reliability and cost requirements.
- Ability to operate, clean and set up manufacturing equipment
- Maintaining cleanliness of work areas
- Monitoring the production line/s for quality
Other requirements:
- 3-5 years’ experience as a supervisor
- Up to date forklift license
- Self-motivated
- Have strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail
- Capable and willing to be multi-skilled
- A team player with strong mechanical skills
- Able to show a history of operating technical equipment and machinery
- Able to demonstrate ability to follow SOP’s and Operating Manuals
- Able to comply with all Safety and Quality requirements

ARE YOU A FIT?
To be successful, you will have at least 3-5 years previous experience in a supervisory role, within a FMCG production environment.
Knowledge of Food production is desirable.
It is essential that you will have excellent people management skills, with a continuous improvement mind-set and undeniable experience in leading and engaging a team to motivate and enhance performance.
You will demonstrate strong communication, negotiation, problem solving, analysis, decision-making abilities.
