Rise is hiring a new Aged Care Support Worker - Respite to join their Milperra Cottage in Mount Helena. This is a permanent part-time role, working 47.25 hours per fortnight, please only apply if you can commit to the following shifts….
Week one:
Monday night 10.15pm – 7.15am
Tuesday night 10.15pm – 7.15am
Friday afternoon 3.45pm – 10.30pm
Week two:
Monday day 7.00am – 4.00pm
Saturday afternoon 3.45pm – 10.30pm
Sunday afternoon 3.45pm – 10.30pm
As an Aged Care Support Worker – Respite at Rise, you will work with clients through a wellness framework & be responsible for upholding the philosophy, objectives & values of Rise & for implementing the aims of the Aged Care Program with dignity & respect. You will provide support to clients & their carers enabling them to continue to provide care in their own homes or within the community for as long as possible.
A typical day might look like…
- Follow client support plans.
- Record and report client changes and issues to coordinators/supervisor following program protocols.
- Ensure nutritional needs and food safety of clients are met by following program protocols.
- Assist clients towards meeting individual goals and outcomes.
- Follow medication assistance procedure.
- Establish a supportive and engaging relationship with clients.
- Maintain client documentation.
- Enact and promote Rise’s values and ethos in all behaviours, relationships, and communication.
- Demonstrate a commitment to quality, continuous improvement, occupational health and safety and risk management.
👉🏼 The need-to-have…

- Certificate III in Community Service and/or related qualification & experience.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Demonstrated ability to follow procedures & routines.

Costs for new checks will be covered and/or reimbursed by Rise.
