The Agile Coach is responsible for coaching and enabling the delivery of strategic and operational Agile projects to meet organisational objectives within a hybrid of Traditional and Agile frameworks
Job Description :
1. Advanced understanding of a broad range of contemporary new ways of working, including various Agile methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban, DSDM; Scaled Agile methodologies such as SAFe, LeSS; Lean practices and other practices that improve alignment, collaboration and value creation. 2. Experience in coaching teams at varying levels of Agile to successful capability uplift in a large organisations delivering workshops, information sharing forums, brownbags and presentations to various audience types for the purposes of education, evangelism and knowledge sharing on Agile practices/benefits/execution 3. Proven experience in coaching and educating Agile practices at team, portfolio and Executive levels and at differing levels of organisational maturity 4. High level organisational and communication skills and experience working in a high volume and demanding professional environment with proven capacity to work in highly critical and complex delivery environments 5. Strong interpersonal, influencing and negotiation skills with extensive experience engaging, collaborating and influencing key stakeholders and customers at a senior level to influence and achieve optimal business outcomes.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Provide coaching to develop skills, knowledge and understanding of Agile methodologies and support delivery teams and stakeholders to embed Agile practices into the delivery of product and process
Assist with guiding and developing strategies for improvement of all aspects of Agile project implementation particularly financial analysis, risk and contingency management, benefits realisation, project impact and quality measures to achieve the success of the project/s
Help teams to identify and implement process improvements to improve both immediate and long-term productivity using Agile practices and tools and mitigate impediments and risks to the program
Assess and identify gaps in knowledge and understanding of how Agile works and lead the teams through training and enablement sessions
Manage and develop stakeholder relationships through effective communication, to help alignment of collaboration across teams and divisions to optimise program delivery
KEY CHALLENGES
Work with the Agile Lead to manage the engagement on Agile practices including the balance of competing demands to achieve business objectives, establish effective stakeholder relationships and arrangements that ensure customer input to all decisions, and balance state-wide needs with local innovation and national directions
Work within an environment where technologies are subject to rapid evolution and change and identify technology solutions and platforms that improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the overall service offering for customers and drive improved value
