Agile Technical Business Analyst

A rare and exciting opportunity exists to work for a new financial services company which will deliver innovative solutions to the Australian market.

With strong industry experience and superior technical capability, our company is embarking on a greenfields project which presents a unique opportunity to design, create and build an innovative new financial services solution.

The position is for an Agile Business Analyst who will be required to work with the development, executive and operations teams during the execution of this project.

As an Agile Technical Business Analyst you will be responsible for the:

• Management and execution of functional and non-functional (e.g. performance, security) requirements gathering, prioritisation, documentation, maintenance and support activities.
• Timely delivery of high quality analysis artefacts (e.g user stories, user- and system- interface specifications)
• Continual, consistent and concise communication of requirements between stakeholders, including developers, managers, executives, product specialists and third party vendors (e.g. usability vendors)
• Alignment of requirements to external stakeholder specifications (e.g. integration gateways)
• Management and execution of user acceptance testing activities and deliverables.

To be successful in this position you will have:

• A mature, working knowledge of the financial services sector – ideally in trade execution and settlement – backed by relevant industry experience.
• An ability to trace and prioritise requirements against the business case, and an opportunistic eye for continual improvement of the business case.
• A passion for delivering timely and measurable results backed by a demonstrated ability to operate as an effective member of an Agile team (with some stakeholders geographically separated).
• A superior communication ability, both verbal and written, demonstrated through concise, “easy-to-understand” and “to-the-point” Agile artefacts.
• A keen eye for the application of innovative solutions and techniques and a proven ability to prioritise individual and team efforts to achieve the best outcome.
