Agri Case Manager

  • Permanent role
  • Based in Bedford Park, SA

How will I help?

As the Agri - Case Manager you will be a key member of the Customer Assist Team within the Customer Solutions Division. The role is critical in supporting Business Assist strategies and to coach, challenge and develop Team Members. You will lead and support the Service Revolution across the business, which is essential to continually improving the customer experience.

The Agri - Case Manager is required to help solve our customer's financial needs at every touch point- which could include a collections or hardship solution. The Agri Case manager works with their customer portfolio to find solutions to bring their accounts in order, ensuring any hardship trigger is identified and managed. They are expected to be motivated, driven and passionate about delivering a superior service experience, meeting customer needs, and balancing commercial outcomes. They are to work as One Westpac with the relevant Business Partners both internal and external and the Credit teams to provide market leading solutions for our customers and to represent the interests of the Group in industry and the external marketplace.

The role is responsible for identifying and managing customer, financial and risk impacts in our processes. They ensure we meet our risk, compliance, and legislative obligations and to provide weekly updates and monthly reporting of outcomes. They will also support the leadership team create and maintain momentum, coordinating activities, skill development and be an advocate for the business.

What do I need?

To be successful in this role you will have the desired experience across:

  • Three years' experience working in agribusiness, as a practitioner, Agribusiness Manager or equivalent
  • Three years' experience managing distressed agribusiness loans
  • A rural background with experience living and working with rural communities, including an appreciation of the unique challenges faced by agribusinesses
  • A deep understanding of a specific industry sector (e.g. grain, cotton, beef) and the ability to adapt that experience to comfortably work across other agribusiness sectors
  • Experience in working with customers in hardship, having a strong focus on empathy and customer service and an appreciation of the sensitivities surrounding agribusiness (such as the impact of drought and other external factors; intergenerational connection to the land).
