Skillinvest has an opportunity for a committed and motivated candidate to undertake a full time Farm Hand Traineeship with the local agricultural training organisation, Longerenong College at Longerenong. Our trainee will receive ongoing mentoring whilst learning on-the-job and undertaking a 'Certificate III in Agriculture'. Duties
All areas of sheep management, including feeding and stock health
Sheep handling, often with current equipment and assisting contractors
Cropping and pasture establishment and management
Property maintenance
Requirements
Genuine interest in livestock and mixed farming
Willingness to learn and adapt
Be physically able to carry out manual and heavy work
Mechanical aptitude
Handle animals with confidence and patience
Work long hours and in all kinds of weather
Willingness to commit to work and study
Current Manual driver's licence and reliable transport (desirable)
