The Opportunity -

In partnership with the ADF and the Commonwealth, Boeing Defence Australia (BDA) provides aircraft maintenance and upgrades, component maintenance solutions, technical support, mission-critical infrastructure support and training on some of the most capable surveillance, command, control, and combat platforms in the world.

BDA are looking for an experienced Product Configuration Management Specialist, to support the AH-64E Apache helicopter program.  The role is to be based in Enoggera, Brisbane with the Army customer in an integrated Attack Helicopter System Program Office (AHSPO).

As a skilled Product Configuration Management Specialist, you will apply your knowledge and experience to provide the following:

  • Manage and maintain the programs product definition and design data, technical baselines, engineering changes and approved configuration.
  • Coordinate Configuration Control Boards and ensure that engineering change is managed is a controlled manner.
  • Prepare and participate in product technical design review and audits as required.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of configuration and data management plans, processes, systems and tools
  • Assist to implement and maintain the controls necessary for data and information protection.
  • Effectively interface with project team members and our customers to support the operation of the platform.

About you

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Formal Configuration Management training / certification is desired;
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role, preferable within a related industry.
  • Knowledge and understanding of industry Configuration Management standards such as ANSI/EIA-649, EIA-649_1, MIL-HDBK-61 and EIA-836 is preferred; and
  • Well-developed communication skills to work collaboratively to a high standard within a multi-discipline team.
  • Working knowledge of a Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) or Configuration Status Accounting Tool

Relocation is available for the preferred applicant.
