About the Role
As a Senior Psychologist, you will play a crucial role within Student Support Services directorate. You'll collaborate with schools and preschools to provide integrated and targeted services, meeting the diverse needs of children and young people. You will be part of an interdisciplinary team and provide professional support and supervision to psychologists. You'll work closely with educators, parents, and other professionals to develop evidence-based psychological interventions and strategies. This position emphasises proactive whole site and Partnership approaches. You will:
- Lead and manage psychologists through recruitment, retention, and professional development.
- Implement and evaluate professional and service delivery standards.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify individual needs.
- Provide professional services at various levels (individual, group, partnership).
- Contribute to research, service development, and evaluation as part of a statewide team of Senior Psychologists.

You have:
- Recognised qualification in Psychology. (Essential)
- Current and full registration (general) with the Psychology Board of Australia. (Essential)
- Psychology Board of Australia approved supervisor. (Essential)
- Area of practice endorsement – educational and developmental psychology and/or clinical psychology and/or counselling psychology. (Desirable)
- In-depth professional knowledge applicable in a school or preschool setting.
- Ability to engage in needs-based assessments and evidence based strategies.
- Cultural awareness and ensure inclusive service delivery.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage setbacks.
- Demonstrated strong leadership and effective communication skills.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development.
The successful applicant is required to gain a Department for Human Services (DHS) working with children check (WWCC) prior to being employed which is required to be renewed every five years before expiry. The incumbent will be required to undertake RRHAN –EC (Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect - Education Care) Facilitator Lead (Masterclass) extended course or the online (Fundamentals) course which will be required to be updated every three years.

Remuneration
AHP3: $102,641 - $110,094 per annum plus superannuation

Additional Note
